I do love a good debut novel and Dee certainly gave me that.Firstly I thought wow this is a big BOOK but I literally flew through it. I couldn't read it fast enough. I had to moan when I put my kindle down to make dinner. Can my family not see I'm reading a gripping book lol
Secondly I thought I was jumping into a story about a rich alpha male and a broken girl. Ok maybe that's true. That's the jist of the story. However the author threw so much more at me. Just when I thought I knew what way the story was going it changed.
Bethany's a really lovely girl. She's struggled for the last few years but thankfully her head is screwed on and she has goals she wants to achieve. She's not afraid of working hard to get what she wants.
Daniel Stone is drop dead gorgeous. He's the ultimate alpha male. He knows what he wants and he's determined to get it. He's not afraid to fight dirty to get what he wants.
The sex scenes between these two is real hot. The chemistry was jumping off the kindle at me. I felt as if I was going through emotions with them and at other times I just wanted to bang their heads together.
If your looking for a well written hot story that will make your pants melt then I highly recommend this book. This is book one & doesn't end in a cliffhanger. Looking forward to jumping into book two now.

"Never A Choice" by Dee Palmer has replaced Mr. Grey with Mr. Stone and Anna with Bethany, and added in a pyscho to the mix to keep it fresh. Mr. Stone is a local wealthy businessman who gives lectures to aspiring business students at the local university that Bethany attends. Bethany forged her paperwork so that she could attend as an older student part time so she can also work at her best friends family restaurant in order to take care of her ailing mom. Daniel immediately recognizes her lies but keeps her secrets because he's both attracted and intrigued by her. Bethany needs to make more money so she gets another job working on a phone sex hotline as a submissive. She doesn't really think she's a submissive but finds she enjoys her talks with one caller that has booked all her time up. At the same time she keeps that secret her attraction to Daniel continues to grow into more, so very much more! Things become twisted when the sister that deserted her pops back into the picture.
I liked this book because the characters are likeable, the sex scenes are hot, and the twist in the story line make it interesting. On the other hand outside of the bedroom stuff I never really saw Daniel and Bethany grow into more of a relationship , and Daniel's character never fully was explained.
This was my first book by DEE it was a good book even though I wanted to jump in the book and kill Daniel. Bethany has a lot going on in her life and she has everyone thinking she is ok. On the inside her world is crashing no one knows about the one thing she wants that is until she meets Daniel. Omg Daniel know just what she needs and he is the man to give it to her. Daniel brings Beth's body to life and she loves every bit of it. Just as things are going good for Beth in comes her crazy sister to mess up and take everything away from her again. The twists that you will get hit with you want see coming and the secrets that come out OMG are to die for. Thank you Lauren Valderrama for telling me about her.
NEVER A CHOICE starts off with a flashback ‘four years ago’ to when Bethany was with her first love John. They were in love, but waiting for things to be perfect before having their first time. We fast forward to ‘today’ where Bethany ‘Bets’ Thorne is getting ready to start her courses at University. She is barely making ends meet, taking care of her mother who lives in a facility and doesn’t recognize her and feeling the pain of losing her first love and her sister selling the house and running off with the money. She has been taken in by her good friend Sofia and her family and works at the family restaurant. She meets Daniel Stone, who is a successful business man and also a ‘Friend of the University’ and is guest lecturing in one of her classes. He is all alpha and he turns her life upside down. She doesn’t trust herself since she is haunted by her past of being abandoned by her father, sister, the death of her first love and best friend and she can’t tell him know how she feels.
So Dee is great at writing the villain….and wow is Kit quite the villain. I loved Daniel, but when Kit comes along he is so stupid. He is smart and would obviously check anyone out who comes near him, but he is blind to Kit’s manipulative game until it is almost too late.
I actually read the boxed set and so overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and the endless suspense...and loved the ride.
